En Panamá encontraras variedad de religiones que han venido de otras culturas. POR LA LOCALIZACIÓN GEOGRÁFICA DE PANAMÁ LLEGAN MUCHAS PERSONAS DE OTROS LUGARES CON SUS DIFERENTES CREENCIAS.

En Panamá  se da el derecho de libre culto sin importar a que religión pertenezca. Podemos decir que la religión más predominante en Panamá es la católica con un 90% de fieles, aunque también se practica el protestantismo que son los cristianos evangélicos y de otras variantes sucedidas del cristianismo como lo son Testigos de Jehová, los Adventistas y Mormones.

-In Panama, you will find a variety of religions that have come from other cultures. BY THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCALIZATION OF PANAMA, MANY PEOPLE FROM OTHER PLACES ARRIVE WITH THEIR DIFFERENT BELIEFS.

In Panama, the right to free worship is given regardless of what religion you belong to. We can say that the most predominant religion in Panama is the Catholic Church with 90% of the faithful, although Protestantism is also practiced. These are Evangelical Christians and other variants of Christianity, such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists, and Mormons.

También podemos mencionar otras religiones que se practican en Panamá como el islam, hinduismo, budismo y judaísmo.  También se estima que un cierto porcentaje practica creencias animistas como la santería. Entre las religiones indígenas tenemos al Ibeorgun del pueblo Guna y la Mamatata entre los Ngöbe. Ambas religiones se basan en las enseñanzas de sabios que llegaron a sus respectivas regiones para enviar un mensaje de contenido más filosófico que religioso. También podemos encontrar  la bahaísta, que trata de la unión de toda la humanidad en una sola religión. Esta creencia es procedente de Persia y tiene en Panamá el único templo de Latinoamérica y cuenta con 60.000 adscritos, un 2% de la población nacional y por último núcleos aislados de la comunidad rastafari.

It is also estimated that a certain percentage practices animistic beliefs such as Santería. Among the indigenous religions, we have the Ibeorgun of the Guna people and the Mamatata among the Ngöbe. Both religions are based on the teachings of sages who came to their respective regions to send a message of more philosophical than religious content. We can also find the Baha'is, which deals with the union of all humanity in one religion. This belief comes from Persia and Panama has the only temple in Latin America and has 60,000 subscribers, 2% of the national population and finally isolated cores of the Rastafarian community.


En Panamá se celebra la semana santa  (es la conmemoración anual cristiana de la Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección  de Jesús de Nazaret) por todos los cristianos. Esta es la fiesta más grande donde se reflexiona por 4 días desde el jueves y Viernes Santo, donde se conmemora la muerte de Cristo, además, el Sábado Santo, con la Sepultura de Cristo y el Domingo de Pascua con la Resurrección.

-In Panama, Easter is celebrated (it is the annual Christian commemoration of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth) by all Christians. This is the biggest party where you reflect for 4 days from Thursday and Good Friday, where the death of Christ is commemorated, in addition, Holy Saturday, with the burial of Christ and Easter Sunday with the Resurrection.

La Constitución Nacional establece "es libre la profesión de todas las religiones así como el ejercicio de todos los cultos, sin otra limitación que el respeto a la moral cristiana y el orden público." 

-The National Constitution establishes that "the profession of all religions is free, as well as the exercise of all cults, with no other limitation than respect for Christian morality and public order."
